New Work Policy: In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, businesses are altering their policies about remote work. Also, Wipro has requested that workers come into the office three days a week. Those who disregard the decision will likewise face consequences.

Wipro, the fourth-biggest IT company in the nation, has implemented a new work policy requiring all of its staff to report back to work. The corporation has emailed all its employees worldwide to notify them that as of November 15, they must report to work three days a week. The hybrid work policy is what the corporation calls it.

Businesses modifying their policies on remote work

The Covid-19 outbreak prompted the implementation of a policy on remote work. Employees are being called back to work due to modifications that many organizations are currently making to this. The policy of working from the office ten days a month was also implemented last week by Infosys, the second-largest firm in India. However, at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), work is now completed from the office five days a week.

Since May, Wipro has made an effort.

Wipro has been trying to guarantee that its employees come to work three days a week since May. According to the corporation, fifty-five percent of the staff work from home in this capacity. The company employs more than 2.44 lakh people.

There will be consequences if you don’t show up for work.

The corporation has issued a warning via email that workers who disregard this policy will face disciplinary action beginning on January 7. The company still needs to clarify what measures it would take to discipline the employees. However, it’s thought that the morale of many teams will suffer due to the workers’ absence. Employees who show up for work might not be happy either. As a result, the business must adhere strictly to its decision.

Will need to speak with workers in European nations

The corporation must consult the staff before deciding because various European countries have varied regulations. The company stated that we will proceed following all applicable laws in this regard. Our goal is to enhance the sense of teamwork among staff members so they can collaborate with one another.
