Dell Deepens Ties with Nvidia, Microsoft with New AI offerings

Expanding AI Offerings in Collaboration with Nvidia Dell announced that it is enhancing its AI portfolio with “new server, edge, workstation, solutions and services advancements.”

The company unveiled the Dell PowerEdge XE9680L server, which addresses cooling and power efficiency issues related to executing intensive AI applications. It “offers direct liquid cooling and eight NVIDIA Blackwell Tensor Core GPUs for fast processing in a compact form factor.”

Initially unveiled in March, Nvidia’s Blackwell platform is anticipated to be accessible this year via a few of the company’s partners, including Dell.

Additionally, Dell showcased Dell NativeEdge, which it describes as “the first edge orchestration platform that automates the delivery of NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, including NVIDIA NIM.”

Dell stated that the latest laptops are “targeted at professionals and consumers” including “built-in AI with game-changing performance and exceptional battery life” that “help users easily manage their tasks and workflows through local computing and processing across the GPU, CPU and NPU.

“The XPS 13, Inspiron 14 Plus, Inspiron 14, Latitude 7455, and Latitude 5455 are the five latest AI PCs that the business unveiled. Microsoft’s Copilot+ is pre-installed on the new Latitude and XPS 13 notebooks. While the Latitude 7455, Latitude 5455, and Inspiron 14 devices will be available in the upcoming months, the XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus laptops were available for preorder on Monday.
