For US WhatsApp users, Meta is now testing real-time AI image creation. When you begin entering a text-to-image prompt in a Meta AI discussion, you will see that the image changes as you continue to add details about the type of content you want to create.
The prompt, “Imagine a soccer game on Mars,” is entered by a user in the example provided by Meta. The created image rapidly transitions from a standard soccer player to a Martian landscape soccer pitch. You can test out the feature for yourself if you have access to the beta by starting a prompt with the word “Imagine” in a chat with Meta AI.
Furthermore, according to Meta, its Llama 3 model is now capable of generating images that are “sharper and higher quality” and has improved text display. To create a GIF that you can share with others, you can also request that Meta AI animate any photographs you submit.
In addition to being accessible on WhatsApp, US consumers can also get real-time image production via Meta AI for the web. The new function is part of a larger rollout of AI capabilities across all of Meta’s apps, which also includes Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
