CES 2026 Live: AI Breakthroughs from Nvidia, AMD, OpenAI & Tech Giants

CES2026

CES 2026 highlights major AI reveals from Nvidia, AMD, OpenAI and more, showcasing robotics, AI PCs, robotaxis and future tech.

CES 2026 has officially arrived in Las Vegas, bringing together the world’s biggest technology leaders for a week of groundbreaking announcements and futuristic showcases. Even ahead of the official January 6 kickoff, companies including Nvidia, AMD, Amazon, Hyundai, Lego, and more began unveiling new products and platforms, with artificial intelligence dominating nearly every conversation.

This year’s event highlights a noticeable shift: AI is no longer just software-driven. The spotlight is firmly on how AI is merging with the physical world — from factories and robotics to autonomous vehicles and immersive digital environments.

Fei-Fei Li Showcases AI-Powered 3D Worlds

One of the standout moments from AMD’s CES keynote came from Dr. Fei-Fei Li, co-founder and CEO of World Labs and a globally respected AI researcher. Li introduced Marble, the company’s first product, which uses generative 3D world models to bring spatial intelligence to life.

Marble can rapidly generate realistic 3D environments that follow real-world physics, whether creating imaginary spaces or reconstructing real locations from photographs. Backed by AMD’s venture arm, World Labs demonstrated how faster AI inference enables smoother navigation, instant edits, and coherent scene exploration — a critical step toward interactive digital worlds.

AMD Doubles Down on AI-Powered PCs

AMD continued its CES momentum by unveiling the Ryzen AI 400 Series, its latest generation of AI-focused PC processors. According to the company, the new chips deliver up to 1.3x faster multitasking and 1.7x improved content creation performance compared to competitors.

AMD Chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su emphasized that AI-powered personal computers represent the future of everyday computing, making advanced AI capabilities more accessible to consumers and professionals alike.

OpenAI: Compute Will Shape Future Economic Growth

OpenAI president and co-founder Greg Brockman joined Lisa Su on stage to discuss AI’s rapid evolution — and its growing demand for compute power. Brockman revealed that internal constraints around compute capacity often limit how quickly OpenAI can release new features and models.

He also offered a bold prediction: future GDP growth may increasingly depend on how much compute power a country or region can access. As AI adoption accelerates, Brockman believes compute availability will become a critical economic driver.

“AI Is for Everyone,” Says AMD CEO

During the opening CES keynote, Dr. Lisa Su described AI as the most important technology of the past half-century and AMD’s top strategic priority. She highlighted AI’s growing impact across healthcare, science, manufacturing, and commerce.

Su noted that AI adoption has surged from just one million users to over one billion active users in only a few years, with projections pointing toward five billion users worldwide in the near future — a pace far faster than the early growth of the internet.

Robotaxis Take a Major Step Forward

Autonomous mobility also made headlines as Uber, Lucid, and Nuro revealed the production-intent version of their long-anticipated robotaxi. Built on the Lucid Gravity platform, the vehicle offers a spacious interior designed for premium ride-hailing experiences.

The rider interface closely resembles existing autonomous vehicle UIs, though Uber confirmed it is developing the software in-house. The companies plan to begin offering rides later this year, starting in select markets.

Nvidia Steals the Show with Friendly Robots

No CES would be complete without a touch of spectacle, and Nvidia delivered with a pair of adorable R2D2-style robots appearing alongside CEO Jensen Huang. While playful, the robots underscored Nvidia’s long-term vision for robotics powered by advanced AI models and hardware.

Huang has previously stated that humanoid robotics could evolve into a multi-trillion-dollar industry, and CES 2026 offered a glimpse of that future — complete with charm and cutting-edge technology.
