With the advent of the Industrial Revolution, many changes took place in contemporary society during the 19th century. As we moved on as a human race, we made our hurdles easier, spent our lives smoother, and made our planet hotter. During the first two waves, the western world made a great mistake by completely ignoring the aftereffect of the booming industrial belts across the globe. However, from the third wave, a much of responsible and controlled investment and industrial policies came into the picture. Governments and big MNCs have taken up oaths and promised to improve the world. Finally, in the fourth industrial revolution, this particular transformation phase takes place in the southern hemisphere, unlike the last three, which were essentially west-centric, except Japan being the only Asian country to compete with them.
Artificial Intelligence is the new word of the millennium. Though it has been in the news of research since the last century, we are the first generation of humankind to experience this. Elon Musk once said that there would not be a single industry in the future which won’t be touched upon by the A.I. system. From the first Human-robot, Sophia, to the cute-looking receptionist robots of the Airports of Tokyo, Miami, and Heathrow, we are the first among equals to interact with the intelligence with artificiality created by fellow human beings. A.I. is being introduced in cars, bikes, flights, ships, and trains. In India, Ola has developed an electric scooter with user-specific configurations. One person’s choice will not be displayed while the other is riding the scooter. New bikes are coming with features like without wearing the helmets, and the bike would not start.

So, the primary aim of using A.I. is to deliver a safer, faster, and more responsible technology to the human race. Artificial intelligence is being used to provide a smoother and more relaxing way of lifestyle. Japan has come up with a restaurant with all the workers as robots. In household lifestyles, even scientists are also making robot astronauts for the future for more accurate research. The most advantageous feature which A.I. holds is the efficiency and perfect outcome of any work. Mathematical programs run on perfection and balance. There is a minimal scope to call upon a mistake by any A.I.-based technology. While parking a Tesla car, the owner need not worry about hitting it somewhere. The maths will do the rest.
There are specific changes in our lifestyle that are about to gear up due to A.I. inducement. Human beings are facing the problem of mass unemployment. As machines do the work far better and more perfect than the living beings, it’s getting hard to compete with them. Movies like A.I. or Oblivion have rightly predicted our future with existential crises. On the contrary, the nature of conventional jobs is changing: more than 12 crore jobs were created related to A.I. and tech products around the world. Life is going to be more competitive and faster in the future world.
A.I. might slowly take over all the activities for good and bad reasons. It is good as it helps us relax, imperfect as it makes us jobless and useless. The sad reality is that there will be a time when the creator will serve the creation, and we might have to depend upon global universal basic income. We must learn from our future mistakes. We must not let technology take the bigger share. We must remember that techs are here for us and not vice versa. Hopefully, as human beings, we shall be able to balance the future frienemies- Artificial Intelligence and the existing Human Acumen, which is the creator of the former one.
