Danilo Boer joins McCann as global creative lead and partner, strengthening its global leadership team following Omnicom’s IPG takeover.
Danilo Boer has stepped into a new global leadership role at McCann, joining the network as Global Creative Lead and Partner, following Omnicom’s consolidation of its advertising businesses after the IPG takeover.
In addition to his new responsibilities, Boer will also serve as President of McCann’s Global Creative Council, strengthening the network’s creative leadership at a global level.
The move comes after Omnicom retired the FCB, MullenLowe and DDB networks, streamlining its operations into three global agencies: TBWA, McCann and BBDO. Boer was previously Global Creative Partner at FCB Global, a role he held since December 2021.
Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Boer expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the transition, citing inspiration from McCann’s people and ambition and his excitement to collaborate with teams worldwide to deliver impactful creative work.
Boer brings extensive industry experience to McCann. Prior to FCB Global, he served as Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy New York and spent more than 16 years at BBDO, where he most recently held the position of Executive Creative Director. His career began at Almap BBDO in 2003 as an art director.
Following the Omnicom–IPG merger, several senior leaders from FCB have joined McCann’s global leadership. Tyler Turnbull, formerly Global CEO of FCB Global, is now Global CEO at McCann, while Daryl Lee, previously CEO of McCann Worldgroup, has taken on the role of Global Chairman.
Other key appointments include Andrés Ordóñez as Global Chief Creative Officer and Tina Allan as Global Chief Solutions Architect.
Boer joins a global leadership team that also includes Harjot Singh, Global Chief Strategy Officer, and Ida Rezvani, Global Chief Client Officer, both of whom continue in their existing roles.
Commenting on the transition, Turnbull highlighted McCann’s belief in the power of truth-led storytelling to drive brand growth, noting that 2026 presents a significant opportunity to build momentum and deliver meaningful impact for clients worldwide.
