Curiosity doesn’t ask permission. It pulls you across industries, through uncharted conversations, into rooms where the next big idea is still taking shape. For some, this restlessness becomes a liability. For Eva Fydrych, it became a blueprint.
Fifteen years ago, she recognized something missing from the landscape of luxury media. Publications were covering fashion, art, and travel as discrete worlds, each operating in its own silo. She saw the connective tissue everyone else was ignoring. Where others reported trends, she identified the cultural current beneath them. Where competitors chased coverage, she built curation. That gap became her opening.
Today, Eva leads Fashion Studio Magazine and Travelling In Style, international platforms that don’t just document the luxury lifestyle ecosystem; they actively shape it. Her journey from multi-industry operator to media founder reveals what happens when someone refuses to accept existing frameworks and chooses to build their own instead.
The Mosaic Builder
Eva’s career reads less like a traditional resume and more like an aggressive education in how luxury actually works. Fashion retail taught her brand perception. PR showed her how to communicate vision. The film industry drilled in the discipline of large-scale visual storytelling and production logistics. Travel hospitality gave her an insider’s understanding of experiential luxury and operational excellence. Publishing provided the editorial operations knowledge she’d need to launch her own platforms.
“My preparation was an unconventional, practical education,” she explains. “My eclectic career across fashion retail, PR, the film industry, travel hospitality, and publishing became my training ground.”
Each stop was reconnaissance. She wasn’t climbing a ladder; she was assembling a toolkit. By the time she founded Fashion Studio Magazine in 2011, she had a 360-degree view of the luxury landscape that few publishers could match. She understood not just what readers wanted to see, but how brands thought, how productions ran, how experiences were designed, and how narratives were constructed.
“To lead my company, I don’t just direct content; I synthesize insights from all these industries,” Eva notes. “This allows me to identify trends with unique clarity, foster unconventional partnerships, and ensure we are not just reporting on culture, but actively participating in it from an informed and connected vantage point.”
That synthesis is her competitive advantage. While other publishers rely on single-discipline perspectives, she draws from multiple knowledge bases simultaneously, spotting connections and opportunities that remain invisible to more conventionally trained competitors.
Vision Over Volume
The founding concept for Fashion Studio Magazine came from frustration with existing models. Eva watched luxury media operate in silos, covering fashion separate from art, separate from travel, as if these worlds didn’t inform and influence each other constantly. She knew better.
“The concept emerged from the intersection of my experience and a clear market gap,” she recalls. “I found that the media often covered luxury in silos. I envisioned a unified platform capturing the connective thread of a curated, intelligent lifestyle.”
That vision became a mission: to be an international showcase for exceptional creativity across art, fashion, and culture for a discerning audience. But execution meant convincing established players to trust an unproven platform, and doing it with almost no resources.
The early days demanded brutal prioritization. As a bootstrapped founder, Eva operated as journalist, art director, photographer, salesperson, and accountant simultaneously. Every role she’d held before became essential. Her fashion background opened doors. Her PR experience helped her articulate the platform’s unique value. Her film training ensured the visual quality stayed uncompromising. Her publishing knowledge kept operations running.
“I leveraged my network and personal credibility from fashion and PR, securing every initial feature through trust and a clear articulation of our unique vision,”Eva explains. “We focused on impeccable quality to attract collaborators.”
The strategy worked. Quality attracted credibility. Credibility attracted partners. Partners brought revenue. Revenue got reinvested into more quality. The flywheel started turning.
The Attraction to Visionaries
Ask Eva about her influences and she doesn’t name mentors or advisors. Instead, she points to something deeper and more personal.
“The most influential force has been my own innate passion, specifically a curiosity attracted to visionary power,” she says. “I have always been drawn to visionary entrepreneurs and futurists who pursue their goals against all odds.”
This fascination isn’t passive admiration. It’s active study. She dissects how trailblazers think, how they build, how they sustain momentum when everything pushes against them. Their relentless work ethic, their determination, their courage to believe in something nobody else can see yet; these become her own operating principles.
“Studying these trailblazers was a masterclass in building from scratch,” Eva explains. “This attraction to innovators directly shaped my eclectic path and gave me the confidence to launch my own platforms.”
That confidence translated into action. When she spotted the market gap, she didn’t wait for permission or perfect conditions. She moved. The curiosity that drove her across industries became the fuel for building something entirely new.
From Showcase to Network
The mission evolved as the platforms matured. What started as showcasing exceptional creativity transformed into something more ambitious and more valuable.
“It expanded with the launch of Travelling In Style in 2019, applying our curatorial lens to luxury travel,” Eva notes. “But it also deepened from showcasing to connecting. We now actively foster connections and curate experiences, becoming an active node within the ecosystem we document.”
This shift repositioned the platforms from observers to participants. Rather than simply covering what others create, Eva began co-creating with them. Her global trendspotting across 47 countries informed strategic partnerships. Her understanding of multiple industries enabled unconventional collaborations.
The offerings expanded accordingly. The platforms became more than publications; they became strategic marketing partners. Premium exposure through high-standard features. Innovative content creation. Creative strategies informed by international trend intelligence. But the real value came from what Eva calls becoming a “full-spectrum curatorial network.”
“We are evolving into producing exclusive, tangible experiences,” she explains. “With a luxury hotel, we would co-create a limited-edition guest experience; curating a suite, an itinerary, and hosted events. For an automotive brand, we would orchestrate curated test-drive journeys paired with stunning routes and boutique stays. We could design a pop-up concept for an independent boutique or provide creative direction for an emerging designer’s launch.”
The transformation moves the platforms from media voice to active catalyst, creative partner, and essential connector within the luxury ecosystem. It’s ambitious. It requires sustained execution. And it plays directly to Eva’s cross-industry expertise and relationship capital.
The Leadership Framework
Eva’s role breaks into three core responsibilities, each demanding different skills and constant attention.
First, vision. She sets and communicates the north star, refining the unique perspective that differentiates the platforms and identifying the trends that will shape future content and partnerships. This requires staying perpetually ahead, constantly absorbing signals from across the luxury landscape.
Second, curation. As Chief Curator and Creative Director, she’s responsible for every story featured, every partner selected, every visual element that carries the brand. She personally cultivates strategic partnerships and drives the innovation that keeps the platforms dynamic and ahead of the market.
Third, leadership. She mentors and inspires her team, creates an environment where creative talent excels, steers commercial and strategic growth, and serves as the brand’s chief ambassador on a global stage.
“I bridge the creative soul of the company with its strategic engine,” Eva says simply.
That bridging demands relentless prioritization. She’s learned to ruthlessly protect time for what truly matters and to say no to opportunities that don’t align with the vision, no matter how tempting. She makes travel purposeful, designing trips that blend personal enrichment with professional inspiration. She maintains non-negotiable wellness routines: daily walks, nature time, gym workouts, meditation. She enforces digital boundaries. She delegates to a trusted team. And she embraces imperfection, focusing on achieving harmony across weeks and months rather than perfect balance every single day.
“Staying grounded comes from remembering the ‘why’; the curiosity that started this journey,” she reflects.
The Next Chapter
As Fashion Studio Magazine marks its fifteenth anniversary in January 2026, Eva’s focus is forward. The platforms will continue evolving from leading media entities into an active curatorial network that translates editorial influence into co-created experiences and strategic partnerships.
“My role will be that of Chief Architect and Conductor,” she explains. “I will personally forge the keystone partnerships that define this new phase and ensure every initiative is strategically sound and brand-coherent. I will steer the creative vision, ensuring our growth always reflects our core standard of discernment and innovation.”
The work deepens. High-profile alliances will expand. The community will grow, not just in size but in meaningful engagement. Members will gain exclusive access to the world the platforms document and help create.
Eva’s recognition continues mounting. The platform has earned accolades including Most Influential Fashion News Platform in 2022, Most Innovative Fashion & Lifestyle Platform in 2023, and Fashion News Platform of the Year in both 2023 and 2024. In 2024, she received two honors at the Global 100 Women in Leadership Awards. Most recently, the platform was named Digital Fashion Magazine of the Year for the USA in 2026, an award she’ll collect personally in Miami in April.
Beyond the platforms, she serves as Official Selection Committee Member for CANIFFF (Canadian International Fashion Film Festival), leveraging her international expertise to curate high-quality, narrative-driven work at the intersection of fashion and cinema. She spearheaded the “Stylish Africa” Project, dedicated to showcasing the dynamic and sophisticated side of African creativity to global audiences. She authored “Styling 101: Top Fashion Secrets,” extending the brand’s authority into publishing.
Building Substance
When Eva speaks to aspiring leaders, she returns to fundamentals. Not tactics or hacks, but principles that compound over time.
“Build your legacy on a foundation of substance,” she urges. “First, invest in your intellectual capital. Lasting impact comes from depth of knowledge and strategic thinking. Second, see your unique path as your advantage. Your eclectic experiences form a mosaic only you can build. That is your most powerful asset. Third, curate your inner circle with intention. Surround yourself with people who challenge your thinking and affirm your worth. Finally, define success on your own terms. Impact is the quality of change you create and the doors you open.”
The advice reflects her own journey. The unconventional path that became a strategic advantage. The network that built through genuine relationships. The standards that never wavered even when resources were scarce. The willingness to start before everything was perfect.
“Lead with authentic curiosity and make decisions from conviction,” she concludes. “Start now. Use your unique insight, education, and resilience to build a meaningful, enduring mark.”
Fifteen years in, with recognition growing and ambitions expanding, Eva Fydrych proves that the best way to predict the future of luxury media might be to curate it yourself.
Quote:
“Invest relentlessly in your mind, not just your image. Prioritize education and intellectual growth. Lead with curiosity. Build your unique mosaic of experiences. Cultivate a supportive circle. Start where you are. Use what you have. Begin building the world you want to see—that’s how we rewrite the rules.”
