In the midst of some of the largest digital giants vying for control of the generative AI boom, the company is concentrating on developing a secure AI ecosystem.
Ilya Sutskever, the former chief scientist and co-founder of ChatGPT creator OpenAI, said on Wednesday that he was launching a new artificial intelligence startup.
At a time when some of the largest internet corporations are trying to control the generative AI growth, the company is concentrating on developing a secure AI ecosystem.
According to its website, Safe Superintelligence is an American company with headquarters in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv. In a post on X, Sutskever revealed the news that he was launching the business.
“Our singular focus means no distraction by management overhead or product cycles, and our business model means safety, security, and progress are all insulated from short-term commercial pressures,” according to the article.
Daniel Gross, a co-founder of Cue and a former AI head at Apple, and Daniel Levy, a former researcher at OpenAI, join Sutskever as co-founders of Safe Superintelligence.
After contributing significantly to CEO Sam Altman’s abrupt dismissal and subsequent rehire in November of last year, Sutskever departed Microsoft-backed OpenAI in May. After Altman’s return, Sutskever was kicked off the company’s board.
