The chat app owned by Meta states that you can choose “Pin” from the menu by long-pressing on a conversation. Three options are available: 24 hours, seven days (the default option), and 30 days.
This is especially helpful if you visit a friend for the first time; they may give you their address by pinning it at the top of the chat window. For groups, specifics like an occasion or a location where they can get important information or rules.
According to the company, group administrators have the option to determine whether a message can be pinned by only admins or by any member.
Users of Telegram and iMessage, rivals of WhatsApp, may already choose to send pin messages in both individual and group chats. If WhatsApp intends to add Channels to the pinned messages function, it needs to be clarified.
