Orion S.A. appoints Jon Puckett as CFO, strengthening leadership to drive innovation, sustainability and growth in specialty carbon black
Orion S.A. (NYSE: OEC) has appointed Jon Puckett as Chief Financial Officer, further strengthening its global leadership team as the company advances innovation, sustainability, and growth across specialty and high-performance carbon black markets.
In his new role, Jon will lead Orion’s global finance function, overseeing financial strategy, capital planning, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, enterprise performance management, and governance across the company’s worldwide operations.
Jon joins Orion from Celanese, where he spent more than 14 years in senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Global Supply Chain – Engineered Materials. His prior roles included CFO – Acetyl Chain and Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, where he led global finance and performance management initiatives supporting complex, multi-billion-dollar materials portfolios. Earlier at Celanese, he also held senior positions spanning FP&A, investor relations, portfolio strategy, and capital deployment.
Before Celanese, Jon held senior finance and corporate development roles at Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), including Senior Vice President & CFO – Government Healthcare Solutions and Vice President – Investor Relations & M&A. He has also held leadership positions at Nokia, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, building extensive experience in transaction advisory, M&A, investor relations, and financial governance across global enterprises.
