Luna Nevhutalu is appointed Head of Global Markets Sales for Institutional Clients at RMB – Rand Merchant Bank, strengthening institutional coverage.
Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, February 2026 — Luna Nevhutalu has taken on a new role as Head of Global Markets Sales: Institutional Clients at RMB – Rand Merchant Bank. In this position, she will lead institutional client coverage within Global Markets, strengthening the bank’s advisory, trading, and securities capabilities for sophisticated clients across Africa and key global corridors.
Before joining RMB, Luna served for over two years as Chief Executive Officer – Sanlam Structured Solutions at Sanlam, where she led structured solutions strategy and execution, driving growth initiatives and delivering complex, client-focused financial solutions. Earlier, at Sanlam Specialised Finance (SanFin), she held senior leadership roles in strategic implementation, shaping execution frameworks for specialised finance mandates.
Prior to Sanlam, Luna spent more than seven years at Liberty Group South Africa, serving as Head of Product and Solutions Execution – LibFin and earlier as Senior Associate Structured Solutions. During this period, she developed deep expertise in structured finance, product development, and execution within institutional financial services.
Beyond her corporate roles, Luna contributed to public governance as a Board Member of the Council for Medical Schemes for two terms, serving on both the Audit Committee and HR Committee. Earlier in her career, she worked in Institutional Derivative Sales and Structuring at Standard Bank, building a strong foundation in global markets and institutional financial solutions.
Luna holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Law/Taxation from the University of Cape Town, combining global business leadership education with strong technical financial expertise.
