Meghan M. Brown joins Mortenson as VP of HR, bringing leadership expertise to drive people strategy and business transformation.

Meghan M. Brown has joined Mortenson as Vice President, Human Resources, where she will lead HR for the company’s three non-construction businesses — Mortenson Properties, Inc. (MPI), Vermilion, and Mortenson Development, Inc. (MDI).

In her new role, Brown will focus on strengthening people strategy, enabling business growth, and advancing organizational effectiveness across these business units. Her leadership will support Mortenson’s broader mission of delivering high-performing assets and integrated services across North America.

Prior to joining Mortenson, Brown worked as an Independent Consultant, advising organizations on strategy execution, transformation, and organizational effectiveness, bringing a strong enterprise-wide perspective to her new position.

Before that, she spent more than a decade at Bremer Bank, where she held multiple senior leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Chief Administrative Officer, reporting to the CEO and Board, leading enterprise strategy execution, business planning, program management, and process improvement initiatives.

Earlier at Bremer Bank, she held the dual role of Chief People & Culture Officer and EVP, Enterprise Program Office, where she led HR strategy, organizational development, and large-scale transformation initiatives. She also served as Chief Human Resources Officer, playing a key role in workforce strategy, leadership development, and cultural transformation during a major growth phase.

Prior to Bremer Bank, Brown was Director of Human Resources at Target Corporation, where she partnered with senior leadership across marketing, e-commerce, and corporate functions to design talent strategies and leadership development programs.

She began her leadership journey at Tapemark as Vice President, Human Resources, where she led HR, communications, and community relations while helping modernize talent systems and improve organizational effectiveness.

Brown also holds an MBA from University of St. Thomas, further strengthening her expertise in business strategy and leadership.

With deep experience across banking, retail, consulting, and manufacturing, Brown brings a strong track record in people leadership, enterprise transformation, and strategic workforce planning to Mortenson’s evolving HR agenda.
