Through feeds and discussions across all of its apps, users can access Meta AI to accomplish tasks, produce content, and delve deeply into subjects without leaving the app they are using.
On Monday, Meta announced that its AI assistant, “Meta AI,” was now available on WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and the meta.ai homepage in India.
The social media behemoth released a statement saying that users may now utilize Meta AI in feeds and chats across all of its applications to complete tasks, produce content, and delve deeply into subjects without ever leaving the app they are using.
“One of the top AI assistants in the world, Meta AI, is now available in India on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and meta.ai. Meta Llama 3, our most sophisticated LLM to date, was used in its construction,” Meta announced in English, heralding the launch in India.
Since April, Meta has started making the most recent iteration of Meta AI—which was created with Llama 3—available to users worldwide. Meta initially unveiled Meta AI at last year’s Connect.
“With our strongest Large Language Model (LLM) to date powering it, Meta AI is more advanced than before. We can’t wait to see how our next-generation assistant improves people’s lives and are thrilled to share it with even more people,” the statement read.
Meta AI can be used by users in a variety of ways. For example, users can ask Meta AI to propose eateries in a WhatsApp group conversation, find ideas for road trip stops, or even ask Meta AI to construct a multiple-choice test online.
“Are you moving into your first residence? In order to construct a mood board of AI-generated photos for inspiration when furniture shopping, ask Meta AI to “imagine” the aesthetic you want, as demonstrated by the following examples provided in the Meta announcement.
Meta AI is also available to users while browsing their Facebook feeds. Found a post that piques your curiosity? Right from the post, you can ask Meta AI for more information. Thus, you can ask Meta AI what time of year is optimal to observe the aurora borealis if you see a snapshot of the northern lights in Iceland,” the statement stated.
According to the Meta AI’s imagine function, users can create and share images by utilizing the term imagine when communicating with Meta AI directly or in a group conversation.
