Creatopy, an AI-driven platform revolutionizing digital ad creation, has appointed industry veteran Tammy Nam as its new CEO. Nam, a seasoned leader in scaling startups, previously served as COO and CMO at photo-editing giant PicsArt and was the CEO of video streaming service Viki.
Nam shared her enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “Creatopy was looking for a U.S.-based executive with experience in scaling startups, working with European founders, and deep expertise in marketing tech. Fortunately, I fit that bill.”
In addition to her CEO responsibilities, Nam is also joining Creatopy’s board. The company’s former CEO, Dan Oros, will transition into an advisory role.
Creatopy’s Rapid Growth & Market Impact
Creatopy has been on an impressive growth trajectory. In 2024, the company secured a $10 million Series A funding round led by European venture capital firms 3VC and Point Nine. Eva Arh, partner at 3VC, praised Nam’s leadership, calling her “one of the best operators I know.”
Over the past year, the company has witnessed a staggering 400% increase in mid-market and enterprise revenue, with the bulk of this growth occurring in the last six months. Some of its high-profile clients include AstraZeneca, NASCAR, and The Economist.
Nam highlighted Creatopy’s ability to attract major enterprise clients in complex industries, saying, “What’s remarkable about Creatopy — especially for a relatively unknown company — is our ability to land major enterprise customers in demanding industries like pharma and banking.”
AI Innovation & Brand Safety at the Core
Creatopy differentiates itself by seamlessly integrating AI with human creativity, allowing brands to scale ad creation without compromising on quality. “Our AI doesn’t replace strategic thinking; it amplifies it,” Nam explained. “Some of our customers have reported a 10x or more increase in productivity because we eliminate the tedious, manual work of generating hundreds of ad variations across sizes, formats, languages, and more.”
Brand safety remains a top priority for the company, ensuring that all AI-generated ads align with brand guidelines. “Marketing managers upload brand kits during account setup, ensuring consistency across every AI-generated ad,” Nam added.
With the increasing ubiquity of large language models, Nam believes that Creatopy’s true edge lies in its customer-centric approach. “We differentiate ourselves with our intuitive interface, unique product capabilities, and excellent customer service. Our ability to understand customer needs and deliver—perhaps ironically—high-touch value on top of AI is what sets us apart.”
As Creatopy continues to expand, Nam’s leadership is set to drive further innovation, reinforcing the startup’s position as a trailblazer in AI-powered ad creation.
