Elon Musk hopes to transform the way people consume news with the introduction of the Stories feature, which is powered by Grok AI.
Grok has been noticeable on social media site X, even though it isn’t as discussed or utilized as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini AI. Elon Musk now has a somewhat unconventional theory about how people read the news. During an interview, Musk expressed his opinion that the majority of people prefer to learn about the news by hearing other people’s perspectives rather than reading or watching it. Currently, the capability is limited to Premium users on iOS and the web. According to a post on X, Stories “aims to offer quick overviews of trending topics, blending news with commentary.”
In the interview, Musk stated, “The news summary will update to include that information as more information becomes available.” “To provide information that is as timely and accurate as possible while citing the most important sources” is the straightforward objective.
How is the Stories feature implemented?
Grok AI provides users with a quick and easy-to-read way to keep informed by distilling social network material using sophisticated algorithms. As a result, users will get summaries of news items based on user commentary.
In the interview, Musk clarified that Grok will rely on social media posts about the articles and what people are saying rather than delving deeply into the text of the articles. He explained, “It’s summarizing what people say on X.”It is a very different approach to news delivery because many posts on X seem biased, include irrelevant content, or are just useless. Musk envisions a time when Grok AI will intervene, become sufficiently smart to identify the appropriate synopsis and refrain from making illogical remarks. As with other AI chatbots, “Grok can make mistakes; verify its outputs.” is the standard disclaimer. But in this instance, errors could give readers false information.
