Google, an Alphabet company, unveiled the Pixel 8 smartphone on Wednesday along with a new timepiece. These new devices have an updated core processor and AI-based photographic features.
The Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2 will be released as part of the Made By Google Event 2023. They will be offered starting on October 12. At the Made by Google event taking place in New York, the firm also unveiled the Pixel Watch 2, with prices starting at $349.
With new Pixel phones that are more similar to the iPhone than ever before, Google wants to directly compete with Apple Inc. The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro from this year are more expensive than their Apple equivalents.
Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro start at $699 and $999, respectively. The $699 Google Pixel 8 starts at Rs. 75,999 in India. With a 50MP PD wide primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10.5MP selfie camera, the Google Pixel 8 offers a superb optical performance.
Google will mix a generative AI chatbot with a virtual assistant for the Google Pixel 8 Series
Google on Wednesday unveiled plans to give its virtual assistant generative artificial intelligence (AI) skills. A company executive told Reuters that the AI will enable the assistant to perform things like aid users in vacation planning or email catch-up, followed by follow-up inquiries.
The Alphabet subsidiary announced during its hardware event in New York that it intends to include generative AI capabilities from its Bard chatbot into Google’s version of a virtual assistant, which promises to offer individualized assistance with reasoning and generative capabilities on mobile devices.
According to Google, “The video capabilities are a combination of AI, sensor and research.” However, it gets better auto-focus and natural skin in low lights.
The Pixel 8 has a design similar to the Pixel 7 but with smoother edges and a somewhat smaller size. It is noteworthy that it keeps a flat display. The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, emphasizes luxury color options while elevating its style with a matte glass back. Along with new color options, the Pixel Buds Pro will match the design of the most recent Pixel smartphones.
The Tensor G3 chipset, with improved ML capabilities, comes with the Pixel 8.

In the US, the Google Pixel 8 Pro costs $999, whereas in India, it costs Rs. 1,06,999. There are three storage capacities available: 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB. Options for color include Bay Blue, Porcelain, and Obsidian.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro has the brightest display the company has ever made, a 6.7-inch Super Actua screen with a 120Hz refresh rate that supports up to 2400 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the new Tensor G3 chipset, the Titan M2 Security Coprocessor, and 12GB of RAM underneath the surface. For this smartphone, Google has promised to provide OS and security upgrades for up to seven years.
