ChatGPT Enterprise integrates with OpenAI’s compliance API and Integrations

The technologies are marketed as being essential for helping company clients comply with laws such as FINRA, HIPAA, and GDPR.

OpenAI, which continues to rely largely on security features to attract commercial users, is launching a set of new administrative and compliance capabilities for ChatGPT’s business version.

The recently released OpenAI technologies facilitate ChatGPT Enterprise installations in highly regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, and legal services. These include an Enterprise Compliance API and connectors with eDiscovery and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) firms.

According to OpenAI, the API enables regulated enterprises to audit and handle ChatGPT Enterprise workspace data by providing a record of time-stamped interactions, including conversations, uploaded files, workspace GPT setup and metadata, memories, and workspace users.

For regulated enterprises to audit and take action on ChatGPT Enterprise workspace data, according to OpenAI, the API offers a record of time-stamped interactions, including conversations, uploaded files, workspace GPT setup , and metadata, memories, and workspace users.

According to the company, various compliance-related tasks, including archiving, audit trails, data redaction and retention, and policy enforcement, are supported by the connections with third-party service providers.

The tools are positioned as essential for assisting business clients in complying with regulations such as FINRA, HIPAA, and GDPR; preserving and preparing data for legal proceedings; and managing the deletion and DLP monitoring of sensitive data, including financial, personally identifiable information (PII), and protected health information (PHI).

The cutting-edge generative AI startup launched ChatGPT Enterprise in August of last year with a strong focus on security and privacy, as well as a declaration to the public that it would not use client-specific prompts or data for model training.

When utilizing LLM (long language model) algorithms, businesses continue to worry about the integrity of critical corporate data and the preservation of intellectual property. These concerns are expected to be addressed by the security-centric features of the new ChatGPT Enterprise.

The launch of ChatGPT Enterprise coincides with businesses increasing their expenditures in generative AI use cases other than chatbots. Microsoft has already begun to automate cybersecurity operations with ChatGPT, while Google’s software engineers have expanded code coverage in OSS-Fuzz, their open-source fuzz testing infrastructure, by incorporating AI.
