Denise Moreno has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Meta, leading global marketing strategy across AI, social platforms, and XR.
Menlo Park, California, United States – July 2026 – Meta has appointed Denise Moreno as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), elevating a long-serving executive who has played a key role in driving consumer marketing, brand growth, and product adoption across the company’s global portfolio.
Moreno brings nearly two decades of marketing leadership at Meta, where she has been instrumental in shaping growth strategies for some of the world’s most widely used digital platforms. Her extensive experience in consumer behavior, brand development, and global marketing operations positions her to lead Meta’s next phase of marketing innovation.
Before becoming Chief Marketing Officer, Moreno served as Global Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing & Growth, overseeing a comprehensive marketing organization responsible for Meta’s flagship brands and emerging consumer products. She led marketing and growth initiatives for Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, Reality Labs, Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and Meta Quest, helping accelerate user adoption and deepen engagement across billions of users worldwide.
Moreno joined Meta in 2009 as a member of the company’s growth team when Facebook had approximately 100 million users. Over the past 17 years, she has contributed to one of the technology industry’s most remarkable growth journeys, supporting the expansion of Meta’s platforms to billions of users globally. Prior to joining Meta, she served as Marketing Communications Manager at Jigsaw, where she developed expertise in digital marketing, search optimization, and customer acquisition.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Moreno will lead Meta’s global marketing strategy, strengthening the company’s consumer brands while supporting the continued evolution of its AI, social media, augmented reality, virtual reality, and wearable technology businesses. Her appointment underscores Meta’s commitment to consumer-focused innovation and meaningful digital experiences.
