Ogilvy UK Names Amelia Torode as New Group Head of Strategy

London, UK – Ogilvy UK has appointed Amelia Torode as its new Group Head of Strategy, strengthening the agency’s leadership team with one of the most respected strategists in the advertising industry. Known for her innovative, multidisciplinary approach to modern brand building, Amelia steps into the role with a wealth of global experience and a track record of leading transformative campaigns.

For the past two years, Amelia has served as Chief Strategy Lead in Europe on WPP Open X for The Coca-Cola Company, where she directed integrated brand and marketing experience strategies for household names including Coke Zero, Fanta, Sprite, and Oasis. Her standout campaigns spanned across key European markets, including Coca-Cola’s partnership with the FA Premier League, Fanta’s Halloween activations, and several marketing transformation projects that drove innovation for Coca-Cola’s European business. Amelia will continue working on the Coca-Cola account as part of her new role at Ogilvy UK.

Amelia’s impressive career includes senior leadership roles such as Chief Strategy Officer at TBWA\London and Head of Strategy and Innovation at VCCP, where she worked with leading global brands including Airbnb, Microsoft, Unilever, O2, and Comparethemarket.com. She also founded and ran The Fawnbrake Collective, a global strategy consultancy, before rejoining Ogilvy—a significant milestone, as she originally began her career at the agency after graduating as a WPP Marketing Fellow in 2000.

In her new position, Amelia will oversee a 97-strong strategy team across Ogilvy UK’s five business divisions: Advertising Brand & Content, PR Social & Influence, Consulting, Health, and Ogilvy One. She will partner with James Murphy, Tammy Einav, David Golding, and other members of the leadership team to drive the agency’s continued growth and creative momentum.
