Three new AI capabilities for Chrome have been released by Google: natural language search for browsing history, integrated Google Lens for visual searches, and Tab Compare for AI-generated product descriptions. Soon, these changes will be available in the United States, improving user experience and search capabilities.
According to MacRumors, California-based Google has introduced three state-of-the-art AI technologies designed to improve its Chrome browser by utilizing the most recent developments in Google AI and Gemini models.
As to the publication, Google Lens has been seamlessly incorporated into the Chrome desktop browser, enabling users to perform drag-and-drop searches for visual content straight from their screen. Chrome users can obtain visually similar results by highlighting any portion of a webpage, including photos and text.
According to reports, users can refine these searches according to color, brand, and other details. They can even elect to pose follow-up queries to delve deeper into a subject. Users will be able to examine product summaries produced by AI in numerous tabs in a single, consolidated view thanks to a new feature called Tab Compare. When making judgments about what to buy, this is very helpful for comparing product specifications, costs, and reviews.
According to the publication, Google is also releasing a natural language search function for Chrome browsing history. With the help of this feature, users can ask questions like, “What was that ice cream shop I looked at last week?” to find previously visited websites. No information from the incognito mode is included in this optional function, which you can turn on or off in the Chrome settings.
