Bad Vilbel, Germany — September 2026: STADA has appointed Diana Wiedmann as Chief Culture & People Officer (CPO), effective January 1, 2027. As a member of the STADA Executive Committee and an Executive Vice President, Wiedmann will report directly to STADA CEO Peter Goldschmidt.
Wiedmann succeeds Simone Berger, who left STADA earlier this year to pursue career opportunities in Japan. She brings approximately 25 years of combined experience across Human Resources, consulting, strategy and banking, with leadership experience spanning pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, engineering, real estate and financial services.
Experienced Culture and People Leader
Wiedmann joins STADA from Drees & Sommer, where she most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Partner. Her leadership experience includes organizational scaling, transformation, restructuring, digitalization, international expansion and building people strategies closely aligned with business performance.
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Goldschmidt highlighted Wiedmann’s international expertise and entrepreneurial approach, noting her track record of developing high-performance cultures that contribute directly to business performance.
Wiedmann said that STADA’s growth journey, values-driven culture and commitment to improving people’s health were key factors in her decision to join the company. She also highlighted the organization’s entrepreneurial energy, operational agility and One STADA spirit.
Pharmaceutical and International Experience
Before joining Drees & Sommer in February 2023, Wiedmann developed extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. She served as Senior Vice President at Rentschler Biopharma, HR Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Head of HR at Aspen Global Incorporated.
Earlier in her career, Wiedmann spent almost a decade with Siemens Financial Services, following approximately seven years in senior positions within the German banking sector.
Her international career includes senior leadership assignments in China, Hong Kong and Mauritius, in addition to several positions in Germany. This experience has given her exposure to diverse markets, business environments and organizational cultures.
Focus on Culture, Talent and Business Performance
As Chief Culture & People Officer, Wiedmann is expected to play an important role in strengthening STADA’s people and culture agenda as the company continues its international growth.
She has emphasized her focus on transformation with measurable return on investment, integrating business strategy with culture and people strategies to accelerate performance, enable growth and create sustainable value.
Among the areas expected to receive attention is STADA’s talent development ecosystem. Wiedmann specifically highlighted the company’s XLRT high-impact future leaders program, which is designed to prepare participants for key management positions within two years.
She also pointed to STADA’s recognition as a Top Employer Europe for five consecutive years and its employee engagement results as indicators of a performance-oriented culture that she intends to build upon.
Wiedmann holds an MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff and completed portfolio leadership training at The Wharton School. She also serves as chair of the supervisory board of heating systems provider Nahwärme Gräfensteinberg.
With her combination of international HR leadership, business transformation expertise and experience across multiple industries, Wiedmann will take on a central role in shaping STADA’s culture, talent strategy and organizational capabilities as the company enters its next phase of growth.
